Details: This event will be for Navigators and Adventurers only. The cold weather campout will help us practice our survival skills and have a meal to fit the season.

This is now a No Fee event, instead of a $10 fee for troop-provided meals, we’ll be doing a simulation of planning and packing for a real backcountry trip. Each participant should take the $10 and use it to budget and shop for their own food for breakfast, snacks, and lunch. Some ideas for food include oatmeal, breakfast bars, protein bars, Clif bars, granola bars, beef jerky, trail mix, sandwich, tuna or salmon in the pouches etc (a lot of options).  If you already have the stuff in the pantry, great, pack it all in a gallon zip lock bag or two.  The Adventurer Advisor will bring some fun food for the Trailmen to cook and sample.

Instructions: This campout is only for Navigators and Adventurers (6th-12th grades). We will meet at the Grothaus House and have a cold-weather campout for one night. We will be near civilization (and a house) in case there are any issues. Sign up for further instructions the week of the event.
