Troop Meetings

Our twice monthly troop meetings take place at Good Shepherd Luther Church, 9066 Gunpowder Road Florence, KY, 41042. Meetings are from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month running September through May.

During the summer, Navigators and Adventurers (Ages: ~11-18) will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from June-August at the same location from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Meetings begin with our flag ceremony, that includes honoring our country's flag, reciting the trail man's oath, and reciting the pledge of allegiance. Our boys then divide into groups (Woodlands, Navigators, and Adventures) to play games, learn from leaders, and work on badge/rank advancement. Each meeting ends with a short devotional and prayer from our Chaplin.

Woodlands

Boys on the Woodlands Trail (age 5-10) gain knowledge about outdoor skills, citizenship, character, friendship, and faith through fun activities, awards, and skill instruction.

Navigators

As Navigators, boys age 11-13 gain understanding of their values and beliefs under the guidance of godly male role models through being responsible in outdoor adventures and in their home and school life. They explore areas of interest and earn Trail Badges for advancement.

Adventurers

As Adventurers, young men ages 14-18 mature in wisdom and faith through more difficult challenges and leadership activities with Christian men walking alongside. They plan and lead outdoor events and large projects while exercising leadership positions in the Troop, even mentoring some of the younger Trailmen.
