Red River Gorge Trip
Details: This will be for all Trailmen. We will be doing a campout at one of our favorite spots near Red River Gorge. We will have opportunities for Trailmen to learn and perform badge work as well as fish, swim and explore God's Creation.

Michigan Trip: The Henry Ford, Greenfield Village, Horse Ranch
Details: 5 Day visit to the Henry Ford, Greenfield Village, and more.

Mammoth Cave Campout
Details: This will be for all Trailmen. We will be doing a campout at Mammoth Cave National Park. Campout will include hiking, caving and a tour of the historic Mammoth Cave in Southern Kentucky. We will have opportunities for Trailmen to learn and explore God's Creation.
Cost: $35/person
Master Provisions Volunteer Event
Details: Details: We will be volunteering at Master Provisions (7725 Foundation Drive; Florence, KY 41042) as a troop on May 11 from 9-11 AM, and we will meet at Master Provisions. This time will likely be dedicated to an international clothing pack. Leading up to May 11, we will be collecting canned goods and non-perishables for Master Provisions’ food pantry.

Ark Encounter Homeschool Event with Trail Life
Details: This is a 3-day event at the Ark Encounter. Trail Life USA, the parent organization for our troop, will be hosting a regional event in Williamstown in front of the life-size Noah’s ark: The Ark Encounter Outdoor Adventure Experience from May 8-10, 2024.

General Butler Campout
Details: This will be for all Trailmen. We will be doing a campout at General Butler State Park. We will have opportunities for Trailmen to learn and explore God's Creation. We will meet at Good Shepherd Lutheran before departing.
Cost: $35/person
Shooting Sports Event
Details: Arrive around 5:00 PM on Friday and we will have dinner and campout for the night. The next day will be a safety orientation and shooting sports activities ending by 2:00 PM on Saturday. This will give your trailman an overview of firearm safety and shooting sports.
Note: This event is just for Navigators & Adventurers
Cost: $20/person
YMCA Swim Test
Details: Each troop member must qualify for the swim test once a year. Our troop is participating in a swim test at the YMCA. If the trailman is not qualified yet, this is their opportunity.

National Museum of the US Air Force
Details: Join us for a day at Wright-Patterson AFB. We will be visiting the museum and learning about our Air Force and its history.

Overnight at Church Gym (Burlington)
Details: Join us for our January lock-in at the Burlington Baptist Church gym.
Cost: $10/person
Big Bone Lick Orienteering (Adventurers & Navigators)
Details: We will be teaching Orienteering for those that need it for the Trail Skills badge. Those that already have it will help instruct. Teaching others is part of the requirements for earning the Journey Rank. This event is only for Adventurers and Navigators (Ages 12-18).

Nerf War Pizza Party
Details: This is our end of 2023 Nerf War Pizza Party. Trailmen will bring their own Nerf guns and we will play various games with all the trailmen who attend. In addition, we will have pizza to celebrate the end of 2023 for our last meeting of the year.

Lock-In: Pizza, Popcorn, Learning & Fun
Details: Join us for our Nov lock-in with pizza, popcorn, learning, and fun. We will stay warm at the church and learn some useful skills — while having some fun in the process.

Food Pantry Event
Details: Good Shepherd Mobile Pantry Event – Human Care will be having the Fall Mobile Pantry to provide the needy in our community with a box of food.
On Saturday morning October 21, we will meet at church at 9:30 to help set-up and then deliver to Arcadia Apartments.

Daniel Boone Basecamp 101
Details: This is the 9th annual Jim Ramey’s Daniel Boone Basecamp 101 with integrated competition between patrols from different troops: archery tag, 22’s, compass challenge course, pugil sticks, tomahawks, catapult competition, etc.This will be an opportunity for our troop to interact with other like-minded Trail Life troops.

Honor Flight Welcome Event
Details: Our troop will be meeting the veteran honor flight return from Washington, D.C. at Cincinnati International Airport. This is a one-night event.

Trash for Cash
Details: Trash for Cash is our annual fundraiser for our Trail Life troop. On this fundraiser, trailmen and families will pick up trash on a rural stretch of road in Boone County, KY. The more participants we have, the quicker the project will go.

Open House Chili Cookoff - Fall 2023
Details: Our Trail Life troop will be holding an open house for new potential troop members. It’s also an opportunity for our troop to get together before our regular meetings start in September. We will have a chili cook-off. Current troop families are encouraged to bring a pot of chili with fixins’ to share with your family and others. The troop will provide drinks.

Details: Join us for a two day adventure in beautiful Clifty Falls State Park in Indiana.

Details: Join us for a weekend adventure in beautiful Kincaid Lake State Park in Falmouth, KY.

Details: 5 Day visit to Gettysburg National Park.
We will be leaving the morning of Wed June 21st and returning home the afternoon of Sunday June 25th

Camp Craft Outdoors Survival Training
Details: Craft Outdoors is a Christian organization located in Bethlehem, KY that manufactures survival gear and conducts survival training. They have plans to teach the trailman basic survival skills (build shelter, make potable water, start a fire, etc) coordinating the skills with Bible lessons. After the training, they plan to have competitions (with prizes) for the trailman to demonstrate the skills they have learned.
