Trip to PFC Sousley's graveside.
Details: Trip to PFC Sousley's graveside. Franklin Sousley was a United States Marine who was killed in action during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II. He was one of the six marines who raised the second of two U.S. flags on top of Mount Suribachi on February 23, 1945, as shown in the iconic photograph Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima.
This event is open to the everyone. Bring mom, dad, guests and all the siblings.

Veteran’s Day Flag Placing
Details: We will placing flags at the Beaverlick Christian Church on Veterans Day.

Veterans Appreciation at Boonespring Nursing Home
Details: After the flag placement we will go to honor our local veteran's at Boonespring Nursing Home. We will meet in parking lot at designated time. We plan to present a wreath in the common area, thank the Veterans, and possibly decorate the doors of the Veterans.

National Museum of the US Air Force
Details: Join us for a day at Wright-Patterson AFB. We will be visiting the museum and learning about our Air Force and its history.

Daniel Boone Basecamp 101
Details: This is the 9th annual Jim Ramey’s Daniel Boone Basecamp 101 with integrated competition between patrols from different troops: archery tag, 22’s, compass challenge course, pugil sticks, tomahawks, catapult competition, etc.This will be an opportunity for our troop to interact with other like-minded Trail Life troops.

Big Bone Lick Orienteering (Adventurers & Navigators)
Details: We will be teaching Orienteering for those that need it for the Trail Skills badge. Those that already have it will help instruct. Teaching others is part of the requirements for earning the Journey Rank. This event is only for Adventurers and Navigators (Ages 12-18).

Trash for Cash 2025
Details: Trash for Cash is our annual fundraiser for our Trail Life troop. On this fundraiser, trailmen and families will pick up trash on a rural stretch of road in Boone County, KY. The more participants we have, the quicker the project will go.

Honor Flight Welcome Event
Details: Our troop will be meeting the veteran honor flight return from Washington, D.C. at Cincinnati International Airport. This is a one-night event.

Open House Chili Cookoff - Fall 2025
Details: Our Trail Life troop will be holding an open house for new potential troop members. It’s also an opportunity for our troop to get together before our regular meetings start in September. We will have a chili cook-off. Current troop families are encouraged to bring a pot of chili with fixins’ to share with your family and others. The troop will provide drinks.

Woodland Trails Skills Day
Details: We will start with basic map work and compass reading. Then we will proceed to conquer the on-site orienteering course. Lunch will NOT be provided, but Trailmen are welcome to bring a sack lunch.

Hocking Hills Campout
Details: This will be for all Trailmen. We will be doing a campout at Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio. Campout will include trail skills, camping, and waterfalls. We will have opportunities for Trailmen to learn and explore God's Creation.

Michigan Annual Trip
Details: 5 Day visit to Michigan - We will be leaving the morning of Mon, July 7, and returning home the afternoon of Friday, July 11. We will be staying at D-Bar-A Ranch in Metamora, MI.

Ark Encounter Homeschool Experience with Trail Life
Details: This is a 3-day event at the Ark Encounter in Williamstown in front of the life-size Noah’s ark. The Ark Encounter Homeschool Experience is from May 15-17, 2025.
Opportunity: Our troop has been invited to assist with an archery event.

Rocketry Day
Details: Build rockets at the church and shoot rockets at the park.

Shooting Sports Event
Details: This is a one-day event starting at 8:30 am and ending by 12:00 pm on Saturday. This will give your trailman an overview of firearm safety and shooting sports.

General Butler Campout
Details: This will be for all Trailmen. We will be doing a campout at General Butler State Park. We will have opportunities for Trailmen to learn and explore God's Creation. We will meet at Good Shepherd Lutheran before departing.

Navigators/Adventures Cold Weather Campout
Details: This event will be for Navigators and Adventurers only. The cold weather campout will help us practice our survival skills and have a meal to fit the season.

Details: Join us for our January lock-in at the Mission Church of God Family Life Center.

Details: Join us for our November lock-in with pizza, popcorn, learning, and fun. We will stay warm at the church and learn some useful skills — while having some fun in the process. Bonus: Bring your Nerf Gun — we will have a war for all ages.

Airsoft Military Simulation (Milsim)
Details: The airsoft/milsim event will begin on September 20th, and last through September 22nd 2024. There will be primitave campsite-level accomodations on-site, and everyone will be tent camping (no hammocks). There will also be various Boot Camp videos released by Northern Kentucky Airsoft Club to familiarize Trailmen with the procedures and fashions of this event.
