Details: This is the 9th annual Jim Ramey’s Daniel Boone Basecamp 101 with integrated competition between patrols from different troops: archery tag, 22’s, compass challenge course, pugil sticks, tomahawks, catapult competition, etc.This will be an opportunity for our troop to interact with other like-minded Trail Life troops.

Details: The airsoft/milsim event will begin on September 20th, and last through September 22nd 2024. There will be primitave campsite-level accomodations on-site, and everyone will be tent camping (no hammocks). There will also be various Boot Camp videos released by Northern Kentucky Airsoft Club to familiarize Trailmen with the procedures and fashions of this event.

Details: Trash for Cash is our annual fundraiser for our Trail Life troop. On this fundraiser, trailmen and families will pick up trash on a rural stretch of road in Boone County, KY. The more participants we have, the quicker the project will go.

Open House Chili Cookoff - Fall 2024

Details: Our Trail Life troop will be holding an open house for new potential troop members. It’s also an opportunity for our troop to get together before our regular meetings start in September. We will have a chili cook-off. Current troop families are encouraged to bring a pot of chili with fixins’ to share with your family and others. The troop will provide drinks.

Giving Tree Service Project

Details: The Giving Tree NKY is a care closet that provides clothing and other items for new foster care placements. Most of the time placement is unexpected and /or emergent and the kids come with only the clothes they are wearing if that. The Giving Tree helps provide foster families with items they need right away so the family can spend time with the kids when they are placed instead of running to the store to shop.

Details: Details: We will be volunteering at Master Provisions (7725 Foundation Drive; Florence, KY 41042) as a troop on May 11 from 9-11 AM, and we will meet at Master Provisions. This time will likely be dedicated to an international clothing pack. Leading up to May 11, we will be collecting canned goods and non-perishables for Master Provisions’ food pantry.

Details: Arrive around 5:00 PM on Friday and we will have dinner and campout for the night. The next day will be a safety orientation and shooting sports activities ending by 2:00 PM on Saturday. This will give your trailman an overview of firearm safety and shooting sports.

Details: We will be teaching Orienteering for those that need it for the Trail Skills badge. Those that already have it will help instruct. Teaching others is part of the requirements for earning the Journey Rank. This event is only for Adventurers and Navigators (Ages 12-18).
