Details: Join us for our January lock-in at the Mission Church of God Family Life Center.

Navigators/Adventures Cold Weather Campout
Details: This event will be for Navigators and Adventurers only. The cold weather campout will help us practice our survival skills and have a meal to fit the season.
Cost: $10 per person.
General Butler Campout
Details: This will be for all Trailmen. We will be doing a campout at General Butler State Park. We will have opportunities for Trailmen to learn and explore God's Creation. We will meet at Good Shepherd Lutheran before departing.

Lock-In: Nerf War, Pizza, Popcorn, & Fun
Details: Join us for our November lock-in with pizza, popcorn, learning, and fun. We will stay warm at the church and learn some useful skills — while having some fun in the process. Bonus: Bring your Nerf Gun — we will have a war for all ages.

Awards + Pizza Party
Details: This is our end of 2024 Awards + Pizza Party. We will have pizza to celebrate the end of 2023 for our last meeting of the year.

National Museum of the US Air Force
Details: Join us for a day at Wright-Patterson AFB. We will be visiting the museum and learning about our Air Force and its history.

Details: We will placing flags at the Beaverlick Christian Church on Veterans Day.
Cost: Free
Daniel Boone Basecamp 101
Details: This is the 9th annual Jim Ramey’s Daniel Boone Basecamp 101 with integrated competition between patrols from different troops: archery tag, 22’s, compass challenge course, pugil sticks, tomahawks, catapult competition, etc.This will be an opportunity for our troop to interact with other like-minded Trail Life troops.

Airsoft Military Simulation (Milsim)
Details: The airsoft/milsim event will begin on September 20th, and last through September 22nd 2024. There will be primitave campsite-level accomodations on-site, and everyone will be tent camping (no hammocks). There will also be various Boot Camp videos released by Northern Kentucky Airsoft Club to familiarize Trailmen with the procedures and fashions of this event.

Trash for Cash 2024
Details: Trash for Cash is our annual fundraiser for our Trail Life troop. On this fundraiser, trailmen and families will pick up trash on a rural stretch of road in Boone County, KY. The more participants we have, the quicker the project will go.
BREAKFAST will be provided - no charge.

Open House Chili Cookoff - Fall 2024
Details: Our Trail Life troop will be holding an open house for new potential troop members. It’s also an opportunity for our troop to get together before our regular meetings start in September. We will have a chili cook-off. Current troop families are encouraged to bring a pot of chili with fixins’ to share with your family and others. The troop will provide drinks.

Trail Skills Day
Details: We will start with basic map work and compass reading. Then we will proceed to conquer the on-site orienteering course. Lunch will NOT be provided, but Trailmen are welcome to bring a sack lunch.

Mammoth Cave Campout
Details: This will be for all Trailmen. We will be doing a campout at Mammoth Cave National Park. Campout will include hiking, caving and a tour of the historic Mammoth Cave in Southern Kentucky. We will have opportunities for Trailmen to learn and explore God's Creation.

July 4th Flag Placement
Details: Fourth of July flag placement on veterans’ graves at Beaverlick Church.

Giving Tree Service Project
Details: The Giving Tree NKY is a care closet that provides clothing and other items for new foster care placements. Most of the time placement is unexpected and /or emergent and the kids come with only the clothes they are wearing if that. The Giving Tree helps provide foster families with items they need right away so the family can spend time with the kids when they are placed instead of running to the store to shop.

Michigan Trip: The Henry Ford, Greenfield Village, Horse Ranch
Details: 5 Day visit to the Henry Ford, Greenfield Village, and more.

Red River Gorge Trip
Details: This will be for all Trailmen. We will be doing a campout at one of our favorite spots near Red River Gorge. We will have opportunities for Trailmen to learn and perform badge work as well as fish, swim and explore God's Creation.

Master Provisions Volunteer Event
Details: Details: We will be volunteering at Master Provisions (7725 Foundation Drive; Florence, KY 41042) as a troop on May 11 from 9-11 AM, and we will meet at Master Provisions. This time will likely be dedicated to an international clothing pack. Leading up to May 11, we will be collecting canned goods and non-perishables for Master Provisions’ food pantry.

Ark Encounter Homeschool Event with Trail Life
Details: This is a 3-day event at the Ark Encounter. Trail Life USA, the parent organization for our troop, will be hosting a regional event in Williamstown in front of the life-size Noah’s ark: The Ark Encounter Outdoor Adventure Experience from May 8-10, 2024.

Shooting Sports Event
Details: Arrive around 5:00 PM on Friday and we will have dinner and campout for the night. The next day will be a safety orientation and shooting sports activities ending by 2:00 PM on Saturday. This will give your trailman an overview of firearm safety and shooting sports.

YMCA Swim Test
Details: Each troop member must qualify for the swim test once a year. Our troop is participating in a swim test at the YMCA. If the trailman is not qualified yet, this is their opportunity.

Details: We will be teaching Orienteering for those that need it for the Trail Skills badge. Those that already have it will help instruct. Teaching others is part of the requirements for earning the Journey Rank. This event is only for Adventurers and Navigators (Ages 12-18).

Details: This is our end of 2023 Nerf War Pizza Party. Trailmen will bring their own Nerf guns and we will play various games with all the trailmen who attend. In addition, we will have pizza to celebrate the end of 2023 for our last meeting of the year.

Details: Good Shepherd Mobile Pantry Event – Human Care will be having the Fall Mobile Pantry to provide the needy in our community with a box of food.
On Saturday morning October 21, we will meet at church at 9:30 to help set-up and then deliver to Arcadia Apartments.
